...that I have had a lovely few days and hope that it's the start of better things. I'm not even bothered if nobody is interested in this thread lol, I'll say it anyway.

At the end of last week, I finally worked out which of my Grandad's 13 siblings emigrated to the USA and with the help of Lisa in California, I'm starting to piece together information that will hopefully lead me to some surviving relatives over there.

My hubby has been suffering mild depression due to the events of last year, but over the weekend he said that he is starting to feel a bit better :-)

We took our son back to Uni yesterday after his mid-semester break and he said he was keen to get back to his studies! We also went to a nearby church which is attended by several old friends of ours, and they made us so welcome that our son actually wants to go back again next week.

And...... I'm getting a Nintendo DS Lite Pink for my birthday (soon)!!

Mandy :)

Carrie, only because Muffy mentioned getting a dog for her 40th, and my 40th is in the dim and distant past (well, not that dim and distant really).

Carrie, it's ok. I tell people that I'm not 43, I'm 18 with 25 years' experience ;-))

Rose, what's the baby one? I was thinking of Nintendogs but I have enough trouble with two real ones without a pretend one as well!

Lol Rose, I was thinking that about myself :)

On second thoughts, I'll pass on the baby one if it's that realistic. Not going back to nappy-changing after all these years :)
