Ah yes Deanna I remember those lovely iron bedsteads! Yes, it looks like I shall have to save up and buy a new bed...if I give up Baileys, Happy Fish, and hair dye for a few months, that should do it...lol BC XX

BC.... you just started a beautiful memory for me.

When we used to come on leave to my grannies, my sister and I slept *number 3 bedroom* in a double bed. our greatest pleasure was when the bed broke!!

the room was then filled with uncles trying to put it back together again.
Do you remember the old iron beds?
The matresses in those days were bought separately.

So love, how are you going to fix yours?

I think it was the weight of my new mattress topper that did the damage:-)) It just went *creak *bump and it went down like a sinking ship....with me in it. I am about to dismantle it and put mattress on the floor....*tug..**.wheeze...
