I love buying my partner flowers and gifts when she is least expecting it at various times through the year, To show her she is in my thoughts and i want to shower her with gifts, Not just on a day when they say you should do it! But you dont have to spend money on your partner to show them how much you love them.

I think Valentines day is bit of a marketing gimmik.

Me & my OH dont need a special day to show we love each other.

We always make romantic jestures to each other every day, whether via a nice text message or a sneaky love note sneaked into his sandwich box or him sneaking a note into my bag or a note placed on the fridge door.

He went fishing this weekend & left me a bottle of champagne in the fridge, with a small box of chocolates and lovely note.

Romance can happen every day and not just once a year.
xx

Oh just to add, I won't be saving a glass for him......well, it'll go flat!

Just another attempt to part people from their money! Such a big fuss is made of it these days - it used to be just a card, now it's Valentine weekends, complete with romantic dinner, gazing into each other's eyes over soup and heart-shaped croutons...

Pass the bucket, please!

I never do Rose.......have been known to give a hand made heart felt card in the past.....or made a little gifty.....it's just a big rip off I think.

No its a money making scam.

If you are in a loving relationship then being romantic comes natural to most of us.

Do you think it is the most romantic day of the year or just a marketing manouevre to part you from your cash?!...with red roses at over £ 2 each and cards etc through the roof, will you spend or not?
