To those who haven't lost, don't get down-hearted, remember it's a new week and take each day as it comes.

To those who are hungry all the time. Try drinking a large glass of water before a meal. If you're still hungry after eating, you really should speak to your doctor. There maybe something going on, if you're on meds it could be a sideaffect.

I liked the snack ideas given, they're a great idea.

I don't weigh in until Monday, thinking of getting some new scales tomorrow as the ones I'm using are older than me. They're accurate but it's hard to tell between one pound and the next so if you lose half a pound you wouldn't tell. Off to argos to look.

My eldest came round for lunch today when she gave me a hug she said" Mum you feel skinnier"

Wooooohooooo it seems to be working lol

~Summer Scribe~ Report 3 Feb 2008 20:08

YAY Jax, that's great.

I must admit, I feel skinnier... I swear my bra is looser and so are my trousers.

Today I bought myself some digital scales, they only have lbs or kgs so I'll have to do the conversion into stones or convert all my previous weights into lbs or kgs.

Almost looking forward to the morning weigh in now lol.

Jean, well done. :-))

I have new scales, so I'm not sure how accurate it is the amount of weight it works out that I've lost.

Start= 11st 2lb
Wk 1= 10st 13lb
Wk 2= 10st 8lb
Wk 3= 10st 8lb
Wk 4= 10st 1lb

According to the new scales I've lost 7lbs this week. However I'm not so sure of this as I don't feel that much thinner. I think it's probably only a couple in reality and the last reading was out.

Either that or I have scales that are designed to make you feel skinny lol.

I'm not sure how to test their accuracy, any ideas?

Hi SS

Do you still have access to the scales you were using before? It would be interesting to see what you weighed on them.

Digital scales can be quite tempremental. I can move mine to 3 different places inside a minute and it gives me 3 different weights. But I find the hallway just outside the front room door usually gives a favourable reading! lol

As long as the weight keeps going down, that's the main!

I do Jeanette, lol... they tell me I'm 7lbs heavier lol, however as my dad just pointed out...they're older than I am so might be a bit off in their old age.

I just tested the new scales, ironically using a tin of unopened sweets (they were a late xmas pressie from the place I volunteer at and came after the diet started -- I groaned lol). They came out as accurate to .05 of KG I now wonder if the conversion site I used was off so am going to check that.

ETA: Just realised...when I say 7lbs heavier I mean heavier than the digi scales are saying...not 7lbs heavier than last week.

~Summer Scribe~ Report 4 Feb 2008 13:59

Tried three other conversions...comes out the same at 10st 1lb.

Not sure if the old scales have been that far out all along or if they've slowly been going out (if that's the case I put weight on in week 3 lol).

LOL! I knew what you meant

Can you change the weight over to pounds?

Yes but it also means you weren't as heavy as you thought you were in the first place! ;-)))))))

It was originally in Kgs so was 64Kg, became 141lbs. I did a couple of conversions straight to stones and then one with it through the lbs.

Doh...blond moment

On the actual scales, when I used the pounds it told me I was 124lbs... I wish!!! lol.

Well done, Dawnie & Dee. I've done no exercise this week either, not even my gentle little warm up...too sore.

Slowly but surely girls, we're in it for the long haul not the short fix so 1lb is great.
