I got the marriage certificate today for my gt. gt. gt. grandparents. But I am struggling reading her fathers name, it looks like Dauk the last letter is not easily read, and I am pretty sure its just a four letter name.

Don't think so the first letter is definitely D, the second pretty sure is 'a', the third I think is a 'u', the last looks like a'k' but a bit iffy on that. These are from a family with good old lancashire names. Thats like something from Doctor Who.

hi Jess, tried to find him on a census but haven't managed it as yet. The marriage was in 1841 between James Kippax and Mary Parker, this guy is Mary Parkers dad. They lived in Briercliffe Lancashire, I would have thought he was born in late 1700's.

Hi Jess, (mines a large brandy by the way) the brides age says 'full', it also says the same for her husband who I know was born in 1818.
