On here, go to Import/Export Tree Then click on Export Gedcom. If it works, you should get a popup window asking where you want to save it to. Save it somewhere you'll remember. When it has finished downloading, go to your FTM program and go to File, then Import. Go to the place where you saved the file, and select the .ged file. Click Import, and you will need to create a new file. Save this in the same place. Once this is done, you will be able to edit your tree.

If you open up your program, you should be able to access your Gedcom from there. whic program do you have?

Nicola

Nicola Report 25 Oct 2005 16:06

Ok, so working on your Gedcom, just select the 'multiple' person, and unlink them. Link them back to the right relationship, then create new people for the other relationships.

Do you have a family tree program? If not, I'd suggest you do. It makes problems like this so much easier to sort out. Once you have one, you should (if GR is working properly) be able to export a GedCom file of the information you have already put on here, and import it into a new file on your new program. May I suggest PAF from the LDS. It's free and fairly easy to use. Download it here... http://www.familysearch.org/eng/paf/
