Thankyou all so much for your Help. I had tried missing out the p in thompson but did not think about changing the o to an e. Now all I need to do is try and find them again on the 1901. Perhaps you can tell me is there any way without the marriage cert I can find out if Rachel was married before?

Next time you can't find someone in your tree, go to 'Other Useful Tools' on the left side of the board and click on 'My Relations'. It will list everyone you have entered in your tree alphabetically. Rose

There is a William Thompson in the 1891 census in Camberwell on RG12/492, but he is only 1 year old. His father is Wheatley Thompson. Kath. x

There are 12 Rachels in Camberwell none of whom seem to be yours. Can you provide details of Rachel's birthplace and year of birth and/or that of her children? nell

Bridget

Bridget Report 11 Dec 2005 22:17

Rachel was born in 1864 and died aged 96 in 1960.

There are lots of William Thompson born about 1858 in Durham on the 1891. Where in Durham was William born and where are they living. I think you are a number short on the RG number. Usually it's 4 digits. Rose
