TAYLOR Would anyone advise where I can search next, this is this connection that I have as I can't find anything for Edward and Henry Taylor on any of the census's. Thanks to those who have also offered their support previously, it's a difficult one but is bugging me! The names I have are: ARTHUR GEORGE TAYLOR: b; 1909 born in Aston, Birmingham and moved to Banbury,Oxfordshire. I would love to find his siblings. EDWARD GEORGE TAYLOR b: 1880's(Railyway Porter) Lived in Lansdowne Place, Lawley Street.Aston in 1909. Father was Henry Taylor who lived at Whitehall Road, Small Heath, Birmingham in 1904. (Edward married EMILY ELEANOR PARSONS formerly resided in Leamington Spa. I have her family details and she died in 1909) Can anyone give advise as to where I can search next or have any connections? Regards Bev

I would advise that you get the appropriate birth and marriage certificates if you have not already done so as this will give you further names to search for.

The marrage cert for the parents will give their approx ages and their fathers details. This should help you to trace the right people on the 1901 census and back from there: Marriages Dec 1904 Jones Margaret Hannah Warwick 6d 1192 >>>>Parsons Emily Eleanor Warwick 6d 1192 >>>>Taylor Edward George Warwick 6d 1192 White Walter Warwick 6d 1192 Merry

This is likely to be Emily in 1891 with her family: >>>>Parsons, Emily abt 1885 Lamington, Warwickshire, England Daughter Leamington Warwickshire Parsons, George abt 1876 Lamington, Warwickshire, England Son Leamington Warwickshire Parsons, Isabella abt 1852 Tyso, Warwickshire, England Wife Leamington Warwickshire Parsons, Jno S abt 1875 Lamington, Warwickshire, England Son Leamington Warwickshire Parsons, Rosa abt 1881 Lamington, Warwickshire, England Daughter Leamington Warwickshire Parsons, Samuel abt 1889 Lamington, Warwickshire, England Son Leamington Warwickshire Parsons, William abt 1849 Hatton, Warwickshire, England Head Leamington Warwickshire Parsons, William S abt 1871 Milverton, Warwickshire, England Son Leamington Warwickshire Father, William, was a groom. I can't do a lookup for Edward George Taylor, as there are too many to choose from. Merry

The marriage s on the Warwick BMD site: Surname: PARSONS Forename: Emily E Middle Initial: Year of Marriage: 1904 Reference: 775/WS/WRO21/105/2 District: WARWICK (the Registration District in which the marriage took place) Spouses Surname(s): TAYLOR That reference suggests it was really in Warwick itself, and not just nearby. Unfortunately, the Warwickshire site doesn't tell you which Church, unlike some others, so you can't easily go after a photocopy of the Parish Register page instead of having to buy a certificate. I wondered if anyone could help me further with this enquiry, any help would be gratefully appreciated: Emily and Edward married on the 15th October, Edward was 22 and Emily was 19 so I worked out that Edward was born around 1882 and his Dad was Henry who resided at 7 Whitehall Road, Small Heath, Birmingham. I have also checked on the Warwickshire County Council Website and had a return for an Edward George born in Banbury in 1883, would anyone mind checking any of these avenues for me? I don't have any links to any living relatives on my Taylor side and it has always been a mystery to me. Many thanks! Bev

What were the two men's occupations (the groom's and dad, Henry's) on the marriage cert?? How do you know that Henry lived at Whitehall Road?? Is this the address given for the groom? This may not have even been the groom's true address, never mind the address of his father. I can't find Whitehall Road in 1901 :O(( Merry

Personal Message: ''Edward George Taylor married Emily Eleanor on the 15th October 1904. Edward (Railway Porter) was 22 and his father is Henry Taylor(Carpenter) It states residence at the time of marriage being 7 Whitehall Road, Small Heath. Birmingham. I have found records of an Edward George Taylor born in Banbury (1883) which is where I am from so part of me thinks that this could be the origins but of course we can't find a Henry and Edward together. MMmm! Have you ever had mysterys like this and do you think the answer is staring at me!'' Bev, I'll take a look tomorrow, if someone else doesn't get there first. Merry

These people are a nightmare!! Maybe Edward was fighting in the Boer War in 1901 and Henry was holidaying on the Costa del Sol, or something???? Who were the marriage witnesses and the venue for the marriage? I'm not promising anything!! Merry

Hi, thanks for your support and assistance, I've been really unlucky with the link, there are two names on the certificate and they are the names of Eleanors Brothers, I had heard rumours that they were gipsys but dismissed it, Eleanor died within days of giving birth to my Grand-dad and he was abused as a child, somewhere back in my memory I always thought that my Grand - dad had run away to Banbury as there were relatives there, I also have Shenington in my head?? Who knows, but I don't know of any relatives from this link as my Dad was an only child and my Dad and Gramp have passed away. I think that is why I am so passionate to chase this link to unsolve the Taylor mystery! Crikey, there's a bit of a story for you, didn't mean to go on!
