Sorry but this is really difficult to explain - so hope you understand Just be wary with census details if you enter them under facts. I think when you start you will find a default heading entitled CENSUS - you can of course put all your census details under this heading - obviously for each year you will enter up the relevant date, and you will gradually build up entries Census - 1851 (in date box) - address and occ (in place / description box) Census - 1861 (in date box) - address and occ (in place /description box) etc However - when you decide to print these out in a genealogy report you will find that only ONE of these census entries will print out - not all of them! What I have done is enter extra Fact names - 1841 census 1851 census 1861 census etc If you do this when you print out a genealogy report all the information will be shown in your printout. Alternatively - you can enter the details under Notes. |

Val, not sure what you mean here. You could add the image by saving it to your computer and then transferring it to the ftm - under the photo/object insert bit. I just copy and paste the details of census and add them to the individual's notes. Dont know what you mean that you have just a name and no branches though? If you want a genealogy report you click on the report symbols at the top and then it will compile a report for you to look at and you can print that out. |

Does this help Val? Selecting individuals to include or exclude in a document You can specify which individuals you want to include in your report. If this option is not available for the window you have open, the option will be grayed out. To select individuals for your document: 1. From the Contents menu, select Individuals to Include (ALT, C, N). 2. In the Include dialog box, choose All individuals and click OK if you want everyone in your Family File to print. Skip the remaining steps. Otherwise, choose Selected individuals and then click Individuals to Include. 3. Select individuals to include in your document by clicking on a name from left column (Available individuals column) and using the center buttons to move the individual(s) to the right column (You have included these individuals column) with the Individuals to Include dialog box buttons. 4. Click OK when you've made your selections. Family Tree Maker returns you to the view you last had open. Note: The group of individuals that you create in one view, such as Labels/Cards, is available to you in the other views that allow you to choose groups: reports, calendars, and batch print. If you make changes to the group in one view, the group will change in all other views as well. If you want to create a group of individuals for a specific view, see Creating Saved Views. |
