Am at present trying to find their marriage - so that I might get parents names from cert - but so far no luck Funny one of our family 'myths' has been we had Scottish origins - and finally after some hard work I get the link - both to Scotland and Ireland. I will have to dig further

Can anyone help -have tried to find birth date of g g grandfather. William Bain born approx 1836 - in census 1881 (living in London) it is stated he was born in Stirlingshire, Scotland. His wife Mary (Murray) was born approx 1834-36 in Limerick Cty Tarbot according to same census Have had trouble finding them - probably cos I'm not used to the Scottish and Irish BMD Any tips - please
