Hi Georgina Yes the Condons and Kennedys were related, Mary Kennedy's grandaughter married Robert Condons son (also named Robert Condon but had a middle name John). I have to go to work now but I will be back on here around tea time. Thankyou everyone for your help.

Branch 2:- Robert John Condon married Elizabeth Houston in 1872 in Liverpool. I have found this family on the 1881, 1891 and 1901c. On here I found that Robert was born In Wixford, Ireland It is the Condon line that I am struggling with (at the moment). On his marriage certificate it says his fathers name is Martin Condon and that Martin was a shipwright. I dont know where to go from here either.

Hi there, Thanx for your offer. the info I have is... charles Chubb born 1854 .Devon . Horseman maria Harding (wife) born 1855? in Ireland. have them on the 1891 and 1901 but can find no birth, marriage or deaths for either. janine

By the way I do have the census right up untill 1901 for the kennedys.

Me too !!! I have the same prob as you in the fact that my G gran was born in Ireland.have no idea where but i do know when. My G Grandad was born in Devonshire, again Devonshire is a big place and am at a loss now as to where to look. Think they've got me beat !!! Janinex

I can only go back so far on my grandmas side of the family as they all came from Ireland. I thought I would try and tidy them up with DOB, DOD etc. This is were my problems began. Branch 1:- My ggg grandmother came from Ireland between 1862 and 1867. On the 1871c she is a widow, her last child was born 1869.She had her first 4 children in Ireland and the last 2 in Liverpool. So I thought great, I will get on of the birth certificates for the children born in Liverpool to find their fathers name. I have searched the bdm on free bmd and a ancestry, including the complete images. But no luck I couldnt find either one of them. So that looks like the end of that line for me. Branch 2 :- My gg grandad was born in Ireland. I have his marriage certificate for 1872 and it says he was married in Liverpool and his fathers name was Martin.I can't find him anywere on the 1871c (he could have been at sea as he was a mariner. How do I go back another generation here as I dont know if he had any siblings and if his father was still in Ireland at the time or even when his father was born. Is this the end of my family research on these lines?
