he has a site about his family and has a section on it called fam scam whereby he berates this site for not dealing with retained data about living people-he goes for it large on his site basically telling people not to use this site and not to trust etc- I found it about half way down the first search page when googling genes. |

entitled SITES THAT BREAK THE RULES A family tree I gave someone and said that living persons were not to be put on the web, did so on Genesreunited. Worse, they gave my tree to someone else who did the same. Now, Genesreunited rules state that consent must be obtained before living people are put on the site. This was not obtained. I have managed to get one of the people to remove the info. The other one won't play ball. I have Emailed Genesreunited many times asking them to remove the data without success. In fact they just ignore you. Two things I have learnt. 1. Never supply names of the living. 2. Don't trust Genesreunited. |

If you read through his site the bloke has obviously had bitter experiences and hasnt moved on !!! |

He doesnt allow that on his site-hes basically complaining that people have misused his research and are displaying the living rellies when asked not to do so,and maintains that genes just arent intrested in helping. |

See what he is on about now. I suppose that a lot of us have been caught in that way. I certainly have. You just learn by your experiences and move on. The only living person that I have in my tree is myself. |

I see he says he has emailed GR ''many times' about his living people. I wonder if he realised he has to click Send twice over for them to get the message?? They have NEVER ignored me! Merry |
