Countless threads on here with info from 1901 and 1911 Irish censuses, which are FREE online. Also irishgenealogy for BMD’s which is also FREE

Obviously records split after partition - there is a GRONI site for N.I from that time

Similarly there are loads of posts about Scotland’s People website. Look at the site for info. You have to pay ONLINE for info which has a cost attached.

Really!

Try 1922 and the Irish Civil War.

For Scotland there is Scotlands People - check their site for charges, some searching can be done ithoutbosying.

I know a lot of Irish records were destroyed by fire but would be grateful if someone could tell me when and if it was in Northern or Southern Ireland.
Also is it possible to look at records in Scotland and if so have you any idea of the costs. Thank you.
Pat.
