That is ERNEST from the 1911, as explained with birth reg info I posted yesterday at 15,51….

The 1939 register was compiled following the outbreak of WW2. GOOGLE for details

On your other thread someone posted a possible 1939 for an Albert E Hill with a wife named Hilda. That man was Albert EDWARD........so NOT ' yours'
