My grandmother was not baptised, does anyone know where to find records of her birth?

When was she born roughly? If before 1911 it might be possible to find her on a census.

Thank you, yes she was born in 1913, it says on freebmd that she was born in 1912, a minor discrepancy but it's definitely her, Lilian M Constable, Cumberland. Can i order a birth certificate from freebmd then?

No you order from the GRO but you need the reference numbers from FreeBMD to do so.

No, you can order online from the General Records Office (GRO). Certs cost £9.25.
