1861 census help please!!!

i am trying to read and understand details on the 1861 census, but I can't seem to a) understand what Abel means in relation section and b) read what his occupation is. Would someone be kind enough and take a look for me please. |

Looking at the image there isn't an address so I looked at previous images, on image 37 it looks like its saying its a poor house. Was wondering if that is where he is? |

oooops I am so sorry Gwyn, I put Roome instead of Redman....Roome is another line in my family that I am also researching where I have had difficulty. |

Thank you for that, there are quite a few working in the garden, some are scholars..... because there was one that is a pauper I thought that maybe he was working in a work house. |

hi this looks like the mother she is at same place as son stephen there are a few children there with the surname redman if you look at census |

Looks like she had a couple of children out of Wedlock, as there is no way they could of been her husbands as am sure he died. |
