The censuses before 1841 and after 1911 weren't held on those dates throughout the UK. For the inter-war censuses, Northern Ireland should be excluded. They had censuses on 18/4/1926 (like rest of Ireland) and 28/2/1937 (rest of Ireland was 26/4/1936). The 3 dates above are all Sundays. |

From 1841-1911 they all fall on Sunday (officially it's Sunday at midnight), and from 1851-1911 it's always late March / early April, but not 1841 (nor 1921/6 when it comes round) |
