Perhaps the John S Betts in 1891 is Tom S Betts. He was born Nevill Holt. Is this where Tom was born? If you could list the details from his birth cert that would help. |

could also try Elena - it was only when I started looking into family history that my OH discovered the lady he knew as 'Auntie Lena' was actually 'Aunt Elena' - try saying both of them! |

tom shadrach betts(born 1886 died 1953) is my husbands grandad, my husbands mum knew of an auntie called lena. i've found a lena on the 1911 census right age and area living alone at age of 28 so wasn't married then. eliza ann jackson and tom betts(born 1860 died 1909) are definitly parents. eliza was also from rutland. |

No sign of a Tom Shadrack or Lena for this couple. How do you know they are the parents? Do you have Tom Shadrack's birth cert? |

i'm looking for a lena betts but wondering if this is a nickname as there is no record for her. she was born in 1883. i was looking for other siblings for her. i only know of one younger tom shadrach betts born 1886. thier parents were tom bets ans eliza jackson. can't find them on cencus was bornin rutland but moved to norfolk and trying to find out why. |
