In 1914 his war paper states they were living at 69 Seventh Street. Horden Colliery, Durham. This is also where Mary Elizabeth dies on 03rd April 1915.

You need their marriage certificate first in order to know who the father is...otherwise how will you be able to verify the birth certificate

On James William Barkes war papers it states her name was Martha Ann Quinn. They also had a little girl by the name of Margaret Elizabeth or Mary Elizabeth who was born 1913 and died 1915
