Chrisa....Thank you so much for this further information. It is so kind of you to give your time to help me. Could I ask you one more question? Now that I have my grandmother marriage ref, is it easy to go forwards as well. To find my mothers siblings if she had any and cousins who could still be living or does it not work? |

Thank you again, just thought of another question, if you wouldn't mind :-) If my grandmother remarried, which I think she did, would you search using her maiden name or her married name or both!! |

Just to add Jenny it is possible to find possible children of your mothers siblings but it takes a long trawl through Marriages & Births & it's best if you have a subscription to Ancestry or Find my past as you have to look through page by page. |

The best way to go about that would be to first find when her first husband died. You can then start looking through the full indexes for a marriage. If it was me I would search using the name Stevens. x |

Ok I understand, thanks. I know have more information so now I feel I know where to begin.....I come back in a few days and let you know how I get on. I will look at a subscription because I think as I know so little, there is no avoiding that. |
