I have a abraham slater married to jane bond. on the 1881 census they have a william wright brother in law to the head of the family abraham. im 1891census they have richard wright with them also brother in law to abraham, both brothers born in barrow. In 1871 both brothers are with there parents william and ellen wright. i have checked all the childrens births and seems that they are all registered under the name bond. IN 1881 it seems that the children have reverted back to the name bond. could it be possible for a family to cnange there name for any reason |
