Find Ancestors

trying to find any family that are related to harry and charlotte pigott nee oxley born abt 1870. on 1901 census they have a son arthur aged 4 and were living hampton st park sheffield.

Hello Carol, I have just started my husbands family tree and sent for his father Cyril Pigott's birth certificate (Cyril was born on 30/03/1909.} His birth cert. says his father was Harry Pigott - a silver finisher (as was Cyril) and his mother was Charlotte Oxley. It's a bit of a mystery as I got a lot of previous history from one of Neils cousins who now lives in Bermuda and has remarried a girl called Christine who has researched her husband's Alan's family tree. His father was Eric and he was a half brother to Cyril and its all very confusing as their were half brothers and half sisters as their grandfather died in the war. The tree shows his mother as Frances Topham and his father as Henry Pigott(which could easily be misread from Harry and then Frances gets married to Thomas Buxton and has Frances Buxton, Frank Buxton, and May Buxton. She has mother Frances with Henry Pigott and is the father of Eric and Cyrils who I know were either full brothers or half brothers. Frances Buxton = now Huber is still alive and I must go and see her to fill in the mystery, although I didn't get a Christmas card as usual last year and wonder if she is alright - no phone number and ex directory too. We are in Middlesbrough and I am married to Neil-whose father is Cyril -all the remaining relatives are in Sheffield and Lincolnshire now (I think) C They all lived in the Park, Sheffield and he said Hampton Street ran into Blagden Street where he lived as a boy. hi im not sure if this is relavnet but i have a miriam oxley and family in my tree miriam(1862c) married john buxton(1862c) in 1882 in sutton in ashfield mansfield notts i believe. thanks jackie

Interested to read about Pigotts from Middlesbrough. My grandmothers sister Nellie married a Frederick Pigott in Middlesbrough in 1914. They had children Alice, Edward, Ronald & Frederick
all born in Middlesbrough.
Frederick snr was born in South Shields.
Any connection?
