i am the grandson of Hannah Mary Wakefield(nee)MARL,born Seacombe,Birkenhead 1889.who had two brothers, Joseph born 1885,and William born 1887.Her father was Thomas Charles Marl an engine fitter born around 1865,he had two younger brothers Joseph and Daniel.Thomas was the son of William and Catherine Marl. Williiam was born around 1847,and married in Liverpool in 1865. Catherine was born in Liverpool, about the same time 1847.Her parents were Charles and Alice Ellison who were both born in the village of OVER in Cheshire around 1810.Charles Ellison was the son of Thomas and Rachael Ellison who must have been born before 1790.We think Hannah Mary's mother Mary Ellen was born in Flintshire at a place called Padeswood, her maiden name was Bedrock ,Mary Ellen died of pneumonia in 1895,she lost 2 sons in 1892 aged 7 and 1,the one aged 7 was i think Joseph,another one died in 1894 aged 1.Thomas Charles second wife was Mary Ann Jesse Croll,they had a daughter Jesse Louise,born 1897. |
