Find Ancestors

I'm looking at my abovenamed Grandfathers "Willie Buckley's" parents who lived at 95 Coventry St, Bethnal Green in the 1891 census. Willie had 7 siblings, and my family doesn't have any photos of "Willie's" parents. The names of his siblings are James, John, Frederick, Emma, Susannah, Joseph, and Rosina.
I have no idea what happened to Willie's siblings as my mother Edna Buckley didn't know anything of her ancestors, so am wondering if there is anyone on this site who may have descended from any of Willie's brothers and sisters, that may have photos of James & Emily Buckley. I hope someone can help me please

Have you looked for anyone on freebmd, ( or family Search) I found a marriage of a Jane’s Fraser Buckley to an Emily Collier in1886 registered in Fulham, is this them?

Have you used freebmd at all, or followed the family through other census. You can now use the GRO website to confirm mothers maiden names.

According to freebmd Rosina was registered in the 1sr quarter of 1892 and died a year later.

Also on freebmd is Emma’s death in 1896 at age 38. David - make sure you look at the entry on freebmd as there is a little bit of extra information that has been added - found by clicking on the little envelope.

Again from freebmd- it looks as though James may have remarried in 1901 to either Agnes or Ellen (added probably wrong James George)

They are in trees on Ancestry..........try making contact with the owners

BUT.....William's mother was not Emily....she was EMMA

The family are in a number of trees on Ancestry.

David, if you do not have an Ancestry sub you could take out a two weeks trial so that you can make contact with the tree owners. Just make sure you cancel the trial if you do not want to carry on with a full sub.

The 1911 census was incorrectly completed by James as he was a Widower and Emma had died some years earlier.

It says married 34 years and that 9 children were born to the marriage. 6 are still alive at time of census but 3 have died.

9 births - included those posted earlier, so in order, but there is another Buckley / Read marriage 1885 in Bethnal Green and here shows 2x Emma Elizabeth births. The 1884 one is still alive at 1901 census time with the family

Not that any of this helps with photos of her parents!

The chances of photos existing must be very small....the people in question were born c180 years ago

I don't have any of my grandfather born 1866 - and he was a school headmaster!!

They could have had a photo taken at any time in their lives.

Amongst my family we have photos dating back to the late 1800’s - just a case of finding out which relative has the albums. One album contains the picture of my great great grandmother.

Going to have to go off and find when she was born.

added - she was born in the early 1820's and died in early 1900's. On my other sied we have a phot of my grandparents( born 1840's/1850's definatley taken before 1897

so anything is possible
