Find Ancestors

Hi,
I am researching the descendants of James Watson ( My grandfathers brother) who was born in 1888/1889 at Darlington , Co Durham. He married a Grace Colley in 1910 and they subsequently had two daughters Catherine b.1910 and Grace A. born 1913.
I found the below on the free part of myheritage.com does anyone out they subscribe to the site and tell me if there is anymore information re James Watson and if it warrants me paying for a subscription.

Look on fre BMD there is one son born in Barnet in 1942

Grace Agnes Kirk died 27 July 2001 (from Find a will gov site)

Catherine Keyworth died 24 June 1998 (from same site)

I find it strange that Grace is not officially closed in 1939 (when she died in 2011) whilst Catherine who died three years earlier is?
