Find Ancestors

hello everyone I have been looking for my grandmothers parents on and off for years as she was born in Germany. This is all I know about Bertha Wilhelmmine Fredericka Paul she was born 1878/9 in Germany and arrived in Hull Yorkshire and married my grandfather 1900 in Trinity church Hull. I thought I may have found her parents a Karl August Paul born 1847 who married Maria Elisabetha Glatt on IGI list but on the marriage certificate she named her father as Julius Paul.

I would be very grateful if anyone has any views as to Berthas parents,

Yes she married Robert Henry Roe my grandfather

No Idea when she arrived in this country and I know she had a brother because my sister told me but have no name for him. I know she died 1907 Grimsby when my Dad was 18 months old.

Just to add, I think birthplace might be Altdamm maybe?
If so, and you google this, or check on Google Maps, it appears to be in Poland.

My Julius paul was from Germany and was a fisherman I have a photo of him in Bridlington so would think he fished out of Grimsby , Hull And Bridlington do not know of a wife only Bertha his daughter but my dad said Bertha had a brother in Hull but do not know his name. Sorry it is so vague

I have a photo of bertha & roberts wedding with Elsie Lindh and ernest Roe his brother on it

I thought Julius was her father as on the wedding cert Bertha named Julius as her father but the more I looked into it I do not think that was her fathers name because it always lead to a dead end

Still trying to find my Grandmother Bertha Paul born 1878/9 Germany but always come to a fullstop. Perhaps someone has a clue as to where I can search as I have been looking for years. Perhaps her surname is spelt differently. Has anyone any ideas please.
