thank you every one for your help yesterday,
cora was married only once,
i have spoken to mum and she thinks the death you found for her in 1981 could be right as she died after my mothers father which was 1980 sheffield
his name was alfred redfern

I checked the image of that death registration .............

it does indeed look like Cara on the index


BUT .............. there could have been a mistake made during registration, depending on who did it.

My brother, photo taken in September 1991 just a couple of weeks before he died. ............................................................ To help us and to get better results, please post as much detail as you can, especially name, date(s) and place. Also say what you already know.

thats right mary died in 1925
albert and mary had a daughter called joyce
but cora had no children

So this was his previous marriage:

Is this too old for him at death (you would have been 2)?

hi,
i allways thought it was spelt cora but it might be cara.
she married albert and i think he died in 1960,
i was born in 1963 and i never met him.
albert had been married before to a cousin called mary ellen hartley and she died in 1925

Could this be her as Cara not Cora? Baptism and birth are pretty close together.

she married albert e hartley 1933 sheffield.
but i can not find a death for her
can any one help please
