Find Ancestors

I am looking for the maiden name of my 3x Greatgrandmother.She married Robert Gilbert in 1831.He was in the military (96 reg of foot) stationed in Salford.All I have is the name Mary from Dunygall in Ireland.Could anybody point me in the right direction pleased.Thanks

If any of their children were born in England or Wales after 1837, and their births were registered, the mother's maiden name can be found by ordering a copy cert

How did you find out the year of the marriage without also finding the woman's surname?

I would think her birthplace was actually Donegal
