William Maw married to Sarah Jane Hubbard 1933

Member Since: April 2005 Posts: 266 Send Message	I've just started tracing this family back (we ll yesterday actually) and I got some info from a couple of members telling me to try free bmd. I did and I found who I think is Williams parents - William and Mary (nee Mann). How do I find out if this couple had any siblings to the William who married Sarah. Living relatives of the above don't seem to know much after the current generation. I know at some stage of the game birth certs, marriage and death certs will probably have to be purchased but at the moment this family doesn't tie in with my Maw's and I'm trying to get as much info as possible without having to spend a fortune and then find it's been a waste of time. I'm also having trouble accessing the census records. Its been a while since I did anything on my own tree and I've forgotten what I did and how I found siblings - it's going to be one of the siblings going back on this tree that is the link if in deed there is one. I'm friends with the daughter in law of the above William and Sarah and her husband has recently died, so I'm trying to see if I can link their Maw family to my Maw family. but I'm not having much joy at the moment. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks :-)

	If you buy the marriage cert for Sarah Jane Hubbard it will give you both the bride and grooms age and there fathers names and occupations, If your very lucky they will be old enough? to be listed with there parents on the 1911 census, Roy I pressume it's the Rotherham family? Just has a quick look and it looks like Sarah's birth was registered in 1913 but you will still need the marriage cert to confirm her fathers details

	Only buy certs from local Registry office's or online from the GRO use this link http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ A bmd cert costs £9.25 including P&P Roy

Member Since: April 2005 Posts: 266 Send Message	Thankyou all so very much, I'm now piecing together all the above info into tree form on paper, from which I will then have alook at my tree to see if any of these could be possible links. My Maw links are Lincolnshire where my Gt Grandad was borne and also his mum, and there are also links in Canada, I know it says USA above but it depends where abouts, so thats 2 similiarities.
