Got the marriage cert through today and it confirms that Kate did indeed marry Tom Groom on the 12th March 1904. Thank you to all who helped me find her. :-)

If 1904 Marriage to Tom Groom is correct it seems that Kate died in 1939 in Eton.

As in 1911 Census age is a couple of years out - but this is not unusual.

Re Marriage to Tom Groom.

1911 Census shows Tom and Kate Groom living in Hitcham, Bucks. They have a son - William Howard Groom aged 6.

It seems that Tom died in 1937 in Eton. Not sure about Kate.
William Howard seems to have died in 1979.

Kate Clarke was born in 1875 in Little Gaddesden, Hertfordshire. As Rootgtherer found in 1891 Kate was in St Albans training for service and in 1901 she is in Hatfield working as a House Parlour Maid in Hatfield. By 1905 all five of Kate's siblings and both her parents had died. Despite all my searches I have not found Kate in 1911 and would love to find out if she outlived the rest of her family and saw old age.

Have tried for a while to find these two sisters and wondered if anyone else could find them?

Kate Ellen Clarke was born in 1876 in Little Gaddesden, Herts and Elizabeth Alice Clarke was born in 1879 I think in Aldbury, Herts. Both of their parents Daniel and Sarah Clarke nee Lovett along with three of their four siblings are dead by 1883. I have found the only other living child Henry/Harry/John Clarke and his sisters never appear on a census with Henry after 1881.

I last found Kate given as Kate Clark a 25 year old parlour maid working in Hatfield, Herts on the 1901 census. I last found Elizabeth given as Elizabeth A Clark an 11 year old boarder living in Aldbury on the 1891 census. I know they may both have married but have had no luck looking for marriages.
