Thank you Reggie. Some of the information you have given I already have on my genesreunited web site. I am just stuck with Daniel Stansfield who was my gt.gt.grandfather. I have a copy of the 1841 census but it doesn't list anyone old enough to be his father. The oldest there is 25 & he would only have been 11. I will try some of your suggestions, birth cert, marriage cert etc. Thank you for all the trouble you have gone to, I really appreciate it. |

I stand corrected, Reggie, re: rounding down. I knew that but a senior moment made its appearance again. |

Rounding down of ages in 1841 was for those aged 15 and over |

To find parental info - which is what you have asked for - buy a copy of the marriage cert |

Possible? Remember that ages on the 41 census are rounded down to nearest 5 or 0 so his age could have been 10-14. |

Apparently not CofE, so you won't be able to find a baptism on the site I gave you |
