My Mum and her sisters are not married, so... Pollard's not Curin's..

in Willsden East..... all registered as Rw with a dash.

Looking at that 1935 ER for Benjamin and Maisie, they have the following codes before their names:

Benjamin R --
Maisie Rw --

These mean
R Residence qualification (man)
Rw Residence qualification (woman)

Where there is a dash the voter could not vote in that election.

So, I wonder if they'd been recorded but the dashes meant they couldn't vote because they were too young?

Struggling to find a Kathleen Curtin with sisters of the same surname in 1935 to check if the same scenario may have applied.

Thanks for looking Teresa.....the reason I ask you was.....on Julia's marriage certificate it was Curten but on her son's birth certificate it says Curtin ..I was just hoping!!!!

Is there any chance you have a Julia Curtin born about 1841 in Ireland in your tree?

On her marriage cert on Ancestry it says her father was Patrick
She was married to a Martin Norman (Numann).a baker from Germany.

The Curtin family on the 1911 Ireland cenus in Caherciveen, Co, Kerry

Curtin Thomas 28 Head, a Carpenter.
Curtin Catherine, 35, Wife.
Curtin John, 6, son.
Curtin Margaret Mary, 5, dau.
Curtin THOMAS, 3, son.
Curtin Michael,1, son.

All born Co, Kerry.
Religious Denomination: Roman Catholic
Thomas Curtin, the father. was a carptenter. Thomas and Catherine had been married 8 years.

Thomas aged 3 is the one who married my aunty, Christina Pollard in 1931 in Hampstead, London.

I have his birth certificate and the DOB confirms the family info.

I also have the marriage certificate of Thomas (age 28 on the census) & Catherine, her surname is McCarthy.

.

I found my Aunty, Christina Curtin nee Pollard and her husband Thomas Francis Curtin on the London Electorol list, living at 40 Messina Avenue (Boro of Camden, Ward of Hampstead) .

Also at the same address is BARTHOLOMEW CURTIN and MASIE CURTIN.

Thomas had a younger brother Bartholomew Curtin born 1916 but he would have only been about 19, so too young to vote...

However, I have found my Mum Kathleen, also born 1916 and her 3 younger sisters listed in 1935 too, but at a different address in London.

Anyone related of BARTHOLOMEW CURTIN and MASIE CURTIN?
