I have William in my tree one of his sons married a Mary Ellen from my Parker family. Cant find any trace in Accrington also is he a distant relative of the John Parker born abt 1822 in Manchester but in later life ended up in Accrington cant help thinking there is a tie somewhere. |

This is the only marriage I can find in that area of a ?? Parker to a Mary Ellen Parker but surely this William cannot be the son of William born c 1806 ????? |

Dea, we don't know for sure if the 1806 William is Jean's. We really need her to give us some more info. |

This looks more like it - Mary Ellen on the 1901 has a sister Alice A Broderick (possibly from mother's first marriage or illegitimate): |

Yes Mary Ellen Parker daughter of James Parker and wife Sarah (nee Brodrick) did marry William Parker son of William Parker and wife Hannah. I feel there must be a connection between my John Parker born abt 1822 in Manchester and this William. |

William Parker born abt 1806 in Accrington so it says though I havent found his baptism married to Hannah Hargreaves born abt 1805 in Haslingden had a son also called William born abt 1848 in Accrington his wife was Frances Whalley from Colne they had a son Willian born 1882 who married Mary Ellen Parker born abt 1884 in Accrington her father was James Parker mother Sarah Ann (nee Brodrick) James was actually born in Manchester but came to Accrington when his father and mother decided to retire here still not found the connection why they chose Accrington to retire unless it is connected to John Parker it wasnt for work |
