Did your cousin stay with her father and brothers - or was she brought up elsewhere? Just wondering if they ever talked about her mother - for instance what leads you to believe she was of Irish background? There must be some snippets of information she can remember if prodded.

I have a marriage certificate and a (death certificate) but it doesn't have her mothers maiden name only her dads name as Richard Clifford a printer journeyman he was dead when she married in 1930 I have tried to go back through the census to find him with no luck if any one could help with how I get a mothers name I would much appreciate it

Have you obtained the marriage cert since you last posted in 2012?

If you wish to find out about her, you need to know who her father was................

I take it that this is her death?

I would like to thank everyone for their replys and wil look I into them all :-)
I only know what I have put in upto yet and will try and get a marrige certificate
I have been told Mary May clifford also known as May was probably born of Irish decent and I think that is why i can;t find a definate birth place as I know she was born 1905 she was married and died in Huthwaite I have

I am looking for any information on the above, for a cousin in Austailia she married a Godfrey Bostock in 1930 at what was the north Birmingham registry office then lived in Huthwaite in Nottinghamshire she died aged 36 in 1941 my cousin never new her mum as she was only 3 at the time
I have been told she might come from an Irish background
