A dull day and another visit to the dentist for OH plus picking up some specs from an unmentionable store.


OH has come round to the idea of adult beanie bag pouffe things for the grandkids. I told him how clever he was :))


No pm's this morning which is really unusual. I had a lovely one from an elderly lady earlier in the week. We have been corresponding on and off for a while ever since I let her know about some replies.

The penny still hasn't dropped with her about how this site functions, but she has told me all about being married for 58 years and about her ailments, clinic appointments and family complications.

Bless her cotton socks. I suppose I really ought to see if she has found her replies!!! Will go and check right now. If she hasn't picked them up, I will c&p them to her.

That's not true Ginns - I once stayed in a hotel at the same time as a load of world-famous pop-stars and super models (I can't remember the others but one was Naomi Campbell).

I was quite a bit heavier at the time but they made 'everyone' look normal, and anyone overweight would be very glad to be so!!) - They were SSSooo thin that they did not look at all normal.

They had lots of big 'Minder' around them and I saw them rush up to one and he put his arms around at least 5 of them all at once, with room to spare.

I felt really good lying on my sunbed next to them - they were just awful!

Anyway, I didn't say Renes was fat - just 'heavy'.

Sorry you are not feeling much better - perhaps you will improve as the day goes on.

Okay. I don't know whether to laugh or cry and need some advice from you lot!

My correspondence with above mentioned elderly lady (she is 81 and very forgetful apparently), has been going on since the beginning of September. She has not seen her replies (a census and birth reg) and she had difficulty in searching the Search Trees box.

I looked for her and found one other person researching her family and passed the name to her. This was her response:

I wish you had given me the surname earlier as he is my
Grandpa's older sister's grandson, so we are related.
I have also been helping him with the Family Tree.
A little bit of info', my 20th Gt Grandpa was a Viking Leader.
That was going down the Rudkin side of the family. I also have a 3rd cousin 10 times removed, who has been helping me as well.
But William is my Gt Gt Grandpa the Elusive Pimpernell.
I have been trying to find any parents or siblings but with no luck.
Well love have a good weekend, where are you based, is it in
the States, we use to come over for a 3 month holiday every year from 1979 to 2001, but ill health has risen it's head now.
I undertand regarding "E" address.
If by any chance you do get any leads on William think of me.
