For someone who counts thread numbers as avidly as you Fans, you can hardly call US children!

Went for to SS (sorry LK) with OH. I'm okay, mine is just the ageing process....gee thanks.....but I am having some sunglasses done for driving. Don't like the winter sun in my eyes. OH is having new ones. A mere £200 all in....hahahaha.......faint.

I refuse point blank to buy 'designer' specs.....who the heck cares if you're wearing 'someone famous' on your nose????

Then went to Tescos.

Now home.

Ironing shortly.

Fun day eh??

Sorry Cynthia,

You got back before I sorted the washing up but it is all in the dishwasher now !!

Machine arrived, then I had to go out and buy more dishwasher salt as I had just put the packet I had in the 'old' machine!!!

Then......... I had to try and get the water hardness level from my water supplier.......... don't ask!!

Then, I had to read the 'book thingy' to see how to work the dratted thing.

Not got it all quite sorted yet but it's in and washing - only takes 29 minutes so it should be out soon - all dry and sparkly (I hope!!)

Dea x

P.S. - Also 'sorted' FMP so I think I am back on the site now !!! - 1911 here we come!

Still working on the dishwasher Cynthia - It seems to have washed the dishes but not dried them - I don't know if that is normal for the 'quick cycle' so I have put them through again on a longer one - we will see!!!!

Anyway, I will get them back to you before morning but it may take some time !!!!

OOOhhh - I DO hate new things!

Gee Report 11 Oct 2010 15:55

I love new things...

I remember the first time I got a dishwasher.......I scoured the house and washed everything possible!

Im going home as my eyes are all VATd out

Dea

Dea Report 11 Oct 2010 16:07

OOOhh - I think I have worked it out - It has an 'extended drying' cycle - I think I should have used that - anyway, I have done the 'long wash' now and I don't know how to stop it (tee hee!!)

Your dishes are going to be ever soooo clean Cynths !!

Dea Xxx

P.S. - If I have worked it out by tomorrow, I might just stick my little grandson in there after I have given him his dinner !!!!!!!!

Pretty please,I really do not have the patience today to explain how to reply etc on thread.
AND it only took how long for that simple message and then an ADVANCED search to find out what the person was on about..

Sighhhhhhhhhhhh.

Renes Report 11 Oct 2010 16:49

Hi to all

That brekkie looked good Cyn - sorry to have missed it - OH just asked - what are the girls saying today - I replied Dishwashers - ( I too have never had one ) so I said - I feel disadvantaged - never having one

He said - Well go on tell them - you have had a new orange house broom today
!!!!!

Dea

Dea Report 11 Oct 2010 17:25

Well, the dishwasher seems to have finished - way before it should have done and the drying is still not good !!

Have to give it another run before I phone and complain !!

At the end of the day though Renes - You MUST get one!! - FAR better than doing it manually !!

Congratulations on your new orange house broom though - I assume you have all tiled floors so it would be very useful!!

Does it have one of those long handled shovel things with it ?? - They are very good and it is difficult to get them over here?

Everyone O.K. ???

Dea

Dea Report 11 Oct 2010 17:26

There you go Cynths - I have finished off the drying by hand so they are just as clean as you would like !!

All returned - ready for brekkie tomorrow !

You tell that husband of yours I'd stick that red broom right up his ####...big end first ;)

Dea

Dea Report 11 Oct 2010 17:33

It was Orange Renes - NOT red !!!

MUCH more 'a la mode' I think !!

jax Report 11 Oct 2010 17:34

Never thought much of dishwashers, had one when I was in the pub but it took too long. Also had one when I shared a house but it never got full up enough to do a wash unless you count a dozen mugs and some spoons.

If you have 'poorly hands' and can't do it yourself Ja...x - It is an essential item !! - Husbands are VERY helpful but they are not there all the time!
