I cannot be bothered with my own tree, I have only just started branching out a bit. My ancestors only go back to about 1800s if I can't find out where they lived or what they did for a living not interested.
Any look ups pre census I avoid

I love that research -

You dont know what you are missing - there is nothing ( well almost ) nothing to beast tracking thru a parish baptism journal - and seeing your 7th gt grandparent ( or whatever ) baptismal entry - their bros and sis preceding or followng - then switching on marriages and deaths and tracking them thru - village by village - and in my case seeing Militia lists even giving his height and seeing him taken back to his birth village and buried

Magic !!!

I doubt if my ancestors were baptised anyway. I have copied the most unusual name in my tree back to 1600s but I am not sure its right but it looks good anyway, they seem to stem from Devon but the name changes so much I'm not sure.
I have a couple that come from Cambridge and Herfordshire but the name is too common I gave up.

Renes, I love parish records too....am in my element going through Medway City Ark and seeing all the original entries in the old handwriting.

Jax, they probably were.....it was more commonplace then than now......did you mean Herefordshire or Hertfordshire by the way? Am willing to pootle around for you. (Pootle = ferret just in case Gins doesn't get it!!).

"All you need to make your own paneer is milk, a lemon and a clean towel."

perhaps the towel - came from a Face

Renes

Edit - when my Mum made this with milk that was starting to turn - she called it cottage cheese

I hate both
