Hi, I am trying to find anything out about Jack English who married my g aunt Mary Elizabeth Johnston in 1919 Carlisle Cumberland. Any help much appreciated. I think he maybe was a railway guard. Thanks

'Jack' was a common diminutive of John back then....................

How old was he when he married?

Who was his father?

Does the cert info tally with the 1911 census posted above?

I'm sure Jan would like to know.........having taken the trouble to find the info
