Hi,
Is there ayone who could help me please.
I am disabled and unable to travel, I would love to get some info from the Stafford Record Office if anyone is going there?

I would like to find out when my gt andmother Louisa Geoghan
(Gaghan perhaps in their records) I know she and her children were in the workhouse in 1881, I saw them on the census.

Then in 1885 Stephen, and his sisters were sent to Canada, and also Louisa bigamously remarried to Alfred Davis.
I would like to know though, when did SHE leave the workhouse?

I know this info could be obtained by post, but it is too expesive for an OAP to pay the fees, the last time I made enquiries (about 1996) the charges were then £5 per half-hour! so to ask them to make a search could prove too expensive for me.

I would be so grateful therefore if anyone can offer help?, thank you.
