Hi,
Is there ayone who could help me please.
I amdisabled and unable to travel, Iwould love to get some info from the Stafford Record Office if anyone is going there?

I would like to find out when my gt andmother Louisa Geoghan
(Gaghan perhaps in their records) I know she andher children were in the workhouse in 1881, Isaw them on the census.

Then in 1885 sSephen, and his sisters were sent to Canada, and also Louisa bigamously remarried to Alfred Davis.
I would like to know though, when did she leave the workhouse?

I know this info could be obtained by post, but it is too expesive for an OAP to pay the fees, the last time I made enquiries (about 1996) the charges were then £5 per half-hour! so to ask them to make a search could prove too expensive for me.

I would be so grateful therefore if anyone can offer help?, thank you.
