You can check the birth record - baptism - on line at Medway's site - Cityark. It will give you father's occupation and an address (may only be the village they were living in). If you think the parents may have married in Gravesend you should find that as well. |

This sounds like it could be him, Thank you all very much. I know his wife was Mary Ann Banghurst, which is similar to Bangast. I'm going to send for the marriage cert so fingers crossed! |
